New Jobs are Chosen !

CAPTERS 5-8

These chapters have been very interesting. Know we can see that Jonas have a morning ritual were they share there dreams. Jonas had his first stirrings, he dreams with Fiona. But in the society they need to take pills to control their sexual feelings. Then on chapter eight they are already on the ceremony of the 12. Everybody is getting their jobs but when it was Jonas turn t6hey didn’t call him, the elders skipped him. But when they assign all the jobs Jonas didn’t have one until she called Jonas and gave him the job of memory receiver.

One quote that I like to shear “Jonas has been selected to be our next receiver of memory. “ (Lowry, 60) In my opinion this quote is very important because that jobs that Jonas haves been assigned is very special. There is only one memory receiver in the community. This job haves different qualities than all the society, first of all he can see in beyond. The requirements are intelligence, carriage and integrity and that way they chose Jonas. But the training requires physical pain. This shoes how Jonas have individuality because he haves a special and different job in the society, he have been selected, he has one in all the society.

 

Finally these feiu chapters were very interesting the part that I like most is when they chose Jonas to be the receiver of memories.  I think that he will make changes on his community and make it batter. but the part that I disagree with the book is when they gave Jonas pills to stop having sexual feelings because if everyone have those feelings way the need to take them, this connects to the Truman show because there is a part that Truman  felts in love with  Sylvia  but Christophe takes her away and never let her see him is like taking the feelings from Truman. In conclusion the chapters are very interesting and very important for Jonas life.
