1 Hour of Sun

Short story all summer in a day by ray Bradbury. This short story is about a girl named Margot that one she lives in earths with her family she loved living there because she always has the sun. One day she and her family need to go to Venus. And she was sad because in Venus the sun comes once in seven year and only for ONE HOUR. The day the sun was going to come out in Venus all his classmates’ bully her because they said that the sun was not going to comes they   looked up Margaret on a closet just to be mean. Then the sun came out and all his classmates went to see the sun and forgot to take Margot out. All the kids when to see the sun and played for an hour and when it start raining aging they remember that Margot was on the closet so they went and unlock Margot. She wasn’t able to see the sun and she need to wait for seven years more.
END

This quote shows an example of imagery and how this makes the story better and more interesting. This is the part when the kids see the sun and go out to play.

" They looked at
everything and savored everything. Then,
wildly, like animals escaped from their
caves, they ran and ran in shouting circles.
They ran for an hour and did not stop" (bradbury 4)

With this quote that ray Bradbury use in the story we can see that he enhances the story. This example of imagry makes the reader imagine the animal’s raining, this make the reader picture in the head what is happening in the story. Using the quote of describing is better that saying what happened. This make the reader imagine as he or her wants, so they can use their imagination. i can imagine the animals coming out and raining like the kids, with allot of joy. And that I can tell because of what the author gives us to picture in the head. For me all good stories have imagery.

this example of a qoute is an example of charactarization. with the quote we can se margot peronality and her looks too.

"She was a very frail girl who

looked as if she had been lost in the rain for
years and the rain had washed out the blue
from her eyes and the red from her mouth
and the yellow from her hair." ( bradbury 2)

With this quote that ray Bradbury used we can see the girls look. This is an example of characterization. This quote can tell as many things about this girl Margot like that she has blue eyes, red lips and a yellow color of hair.  Just with this descriptions we can see the book different, we can se Margot different because maybe we imagine her different. We can read that see if fragile and sad because the color of her eyes that has been washed out. This example shows us that Margot is delicate and sad because of the sun.

At the end this story teaches us about the importance of a opportunity. This shows us to take your opportunity when we have it because you may not take it and it might just go. Thanks to imagery and characterization we can understand the story and the massage better.
